Festival of the Arts November 7, 2026

With Festival of the Arts (FOA), the possibilities are wonderful! Girl Scouts get up to three arts experiences during this daylong event. This year will mark the 54th annual event. FOA is a fun and engaging event for Girls Scouts of all levels to explore and includes nearly every genre of arts including dance, drama, visual arts, and more! Troop leaders typically navigate registration.

Festival of the Arts will be held on November 7 at unique locations throughout Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana. For Girl Scouts, this fee includes admission to three programs: Workshop, Event, and a Performance, Exhibit, or Tour (PET), as well as a commemorative Festival of the Arts patch. See more details in the dropdown below. Adults can attend Events and PETs and will receive a commemorative patch; however, they may not participate in workshops due to extremely limited space.

New and Returning for 2026 toggle arrow

Five workshops for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors at the 1:30 time slot will be extended to 1.5 hours to allow older Girl Scouts an opportunity to dive deeper into the subject matter. See pages 14-15 of the Festival Guide for the extended programs.

Each paid Girl Scout and adult will receive a wrist band at check-in, which will serve as their ticket for entry into all scheduled events. This bracelet must be worn throughout the day and shown at each venue. While this is a new procedure, it will help simplify event check-ins and ensure a smooth experience for all participants. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
While your Girl Scouts enjoy Festival of the Arts, relax in our Volunteer Lounge! Get inspired, connect with other leaders, and collect fresh ideas for your troop. (For adults only; leaders must maintain girl-to-adult ratios throughout festival sessions.)

How to Get Started toggle arrow

Explore the Festival Guide thoroughly to learn about the sessions available to your troop’s grade level. Spend time with your troop to determine their favorite options, and rank those based on preferences. Remember to encourage your troop to try something new and different!

Next, determine the number of participants who will attend Festival of the Arts. Confirm your total number of participants, and accurately include all girls and adults.

Now you’re ready to register your troop! The registration process has several steps and is designed to be fair to all—both new and experienced troops—and to allow time for girls to be included in the decisions about their program selections.

You may attend a total of three programs during the day.

No more than ONE program in the Events category.
No more than ONE program in the Workshop category.
No more than TWO programs in the Performances, Exhibits and Tours (PETs) category.

You do not have to fill all three time periods. Please be sure to note how many programs you want to attend. Programs are located throughout metro Louisville and Southern Indiana, so be aware of your travel times. Please note that all times listed are Eastern. Locations are subject to change.

What You’ll Need to Register

One troop leader should include the whole group at the same time. Have an accurate list of all participant names. Be prepared with the number of patches you’ll request. Everyone planning to attend, including adult chaperones, should have a 2026–2027 membership. You will not be able to register those who do not have a 2027 membership.

Registration ends on September 30. No changes may be made after this date.
Program assignments will be released on October 21.

Register for your whole troop through MyGS.
Complete the steps of registration, including the accurate number of participants, their names, and payment details.
After registration, click on My Events in MyGS, then click on Festival of the Arts.
- Click on FOA Program Preference Selection Link.pdf under Additional Document.
- Click on the Survey Link and fill out the survey.

Once your troop is registered, any changes will require your troop to re-submit the FOA survey. So if you need to add Girl Scouts or adults to your troop, your previously scheduled programs will be released, and your troop will be scheduled (or rescheduled) alongside other troops who register on the day of your change.

Registration Troubleshooting Tips:
To start, visit the Festival of the Arts event and be sure you’re successfully logged into to MyGS.

For this registration, you can not pick attendees from your Household and your Troop. You must select one. You cannot pick from both sites. If you cannot make the selection, empty your cart. Then, log out of the system and log back in.

You will need assistance from Customer Care, IF:
- An attendee is showing “inactive”.
- An attendee is not linked to the registering troop, within the system.

When you fill out the Festival survey, be sure to list the total number of Girl Scouts and adults who will attend. If there are attendees you could not add on your own, please write a "Note to the Registrar" with the missing attendees’ names.

If you’ll use Kentuckiana Credits toward festival registration fees, please charge your troop credit card. Keep your receipt and submit the Kentuckiana Credit Swap form for reimbursement.

Payment

Submit payment information when you register, like all other GSK events. After completing the registration form, pay with a debit or credit card. You may also pay by check or Kentuckiana Credits. To use Kentuckiana Credits to pay for FOA, please charge your troop credit card. Keep your receipt and submit the Kentuckiana Credit Swap form for reimbursement.

Cancellation/Refund Policy toggle arrow

You may apply for a refund ONLY if you meet ALL of the following conditions.

Selected five programs from the Performances, Exhibits, and Tours (PETs) category
Selected five workshops from your program level category.
Your troop as not placed in any of your selections.

If your troop was not given any of their original choices, you will be contacted and offered alternative choices. If these alternatives are not satisfactory, you may ask for a refund at that time.
