The Board of Directors has established within the council’s jurisdictions, subdivisions known as Areas or Area Associations. Currently there are 24 Area Associations. As part of the governance structure, the Area Associations elect delegates and alternate delegates from registered members of that area. Area Associations hold two meetings per year—usually one in the fall and one in the spring. These are opportunities to express concerns and recommendations for change at the council level.
