Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana welcomes all kids to a fun family event to celebrate the new school year. The free drop-in event is open to all on Saturday, August 24 from 10 am—2:30 pm inside Lynn Family Stadium. All area families are invited to join this memorable day for the young and young at heart.
Free activities and giveaways for kids include rock climbing, science experiments from the Kentucky Science Center, face painting, balloon art, and a cotton candy station. More fun is in store from family-friendly community organizations such as Actors Theatre of Louisville, Kentucky Historical Society, Kentucky Humane Society, The Parklands of Floyds Fork, StageOne Family Theatre, Texas Roadhouse, and many others.
Guests will be inspired by some of the great things Girl Scout do. Interested kids (and their grownups) can learn more about Girl Scouts, join a troop for the first time, renew their membership, or discover treasures at our on-site Girl Scout shop.
Event parking is free and convenient in the stadium’s purple lot. Rain or shine, covered areas and air-conditioned spaces will keep participants comfortable. Stadium food is available at special prices. Attendees may purchase discounted tickets for the 7:30 pm soccer game between Racing Louisville FC and the Chicago Red Stars.
