Via Colori is a free, family-friendly festival where artists create amazing chalk art right on the sidewalks. There will be street art, live music, bounce houses, food vendors, cosplayers, and more! It’s a great event for Girl Scout troops to explore together. Just come, enjoy, and take it all in.

Festival of the Arts is one of our longest-running and most beloved events—this year is the 53rd annual celebration! Girl Scouts of all levels are invited to spend the day exploring the arts through hands-on workshops, performances, exhibits, and more.
Each Girl Scout gets to experience three unique arts programs
during the day, such as dance, drama, music, or visual arts. It’s a
fun and inspiring way to try something new! Adults are welcome to
attend most activities, though workshop spots are reserved for
girls only due to limited space. We’d love to see your troop
there!

- You are not alone. A lot of things come to you all at once...breathe and team up your service unit or fellow local troop leaders. Visit their meetings to get ideas and inspiration. Remember, there is no one way to be a troop. –Maria R., Troops 2442 & 255
- Contact your local UK Cooperative Extension Office, as they offer free programs. You can learn how to start a garden, understand soil and pests, discover cooking techniques, and develop leadership skills. You'll also have the opportunity to make healthy recipes while learning proper cooking terminology. It's a great way to meet new people! –Rohdne R., Troop 1091
- Ask for help from parents. Make it an expectation for everyone to participate in one way, shape or form. For example, create a sign up genius for your meetings and send it out to parents to sign up (bring a snack, provide supplies, helps pass out patches at the end of the meeting, leads a song, be the cookie chair, track advancements, be the treasurer, etc.). Everyone wants to help - you just have to ask, and then be quiet enough that it gives them a chance to respond. Enjoy! –Cynthia B., Troop 498
