Girls from across Kentucky and Indiana converge in Jeffersonville, Indiana on April 26 for the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana Annual Meeting. Nearly 400 girl and adult members will gather at The Foundry from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. to elect new board members and hear from leaders from throughout the organization’s 54 counties in Kentucky and 10 counties in Southern Indiana.
At the annual meeting, seven Gold Award Girl Scouts will be recognized. The Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. The prestigious award is the mark of the truly remarkable—earned by high school Girl Scouts who work to address local, national, or global issues in ways that produce meaningful and lasting change. Gold Award Girl Scout Cameron Huggins from Franklin, Kentucky will present at the meeting. More information about our Gold Award Girl Scouts can be found at www.gskentuckiana.org/goldaward2025.
The multi-generational annual meeting offers leadership opportunities to attendees 14 years and older. Participants engage in a democratic process to elect delegates who influence the decisions and priorities for the council’s 13,850 members. This year, voting delegates will also determine the council’s representatives to the Girl Scouts of the United States of America National Council Session to be held in Washington, D.C. in 2026.
Media are invited for interviews with council leaders and Girl Scouts between 12:30 p.m.–1:30 p.m. when the meeting breaks for lunch.
