Operation Sister is a council-wide movement to promote being a sister to every Girl Scout. By gaining a better understanding of each other and learning to engage other cultures (socioeconomic, ethnic background, special needs, geographical and generational) we are better prepared to shape the leaders of tomorrow.

Sister Institutes

Help kick off this initiative by taking part in a Sister Institute, a two-day workshop designed to help us embrace each other’s differences.  Through a series of fun and challenging activities, Janene Shakir of Peace Ed will teach you to better resolve conflicts, deal with others you may disagree with, and discover more about yourself. Walk away with skills you can teach your Girl Scouts, or just use in day-to-day life.

Complimentary lunch will be provided both days, and free camp lodging (including more meals) is available on a first-come, first-served basis. In the evenings, take advantage of being at camp and enjoy the outdoors!

Sister Institute Drawing!
Each Service Unit that sends at least two participants to a Sister Institute will be entered into a drawing. The winner's entire Service Unit will get one free overnight stay at camp together!
