On February 25, 2015 Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana will host its 9th Annual
Desserts First. Louisville’s finest restaurant chefs will create original desserts, signature drinks and hors d’oeuvres using the well-known Girl Scout Cookie varieties as the key ingredient. The chefs will gather and present their creations for tasting at Mellwood Arts Center for an evening networking event.
This year Desserts First will celebrate the Technology of Cooking! Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs will continue to be at the forefront of Girl Scout activities during 2015, and we’re excited to showcase what our chefs already know — technology has changed our cooking experiences in amazing ways! We’re sure our chefs will enjoy highlighting the ways they use technology in and out of the kitchen to enhance dining experiences.
Desserts First is fundraiser where adult guests sample exclusive culinary creations and enjoy an evening with friends. The evening will also include drinks, and hors d’oeuvres. Desserts will be judged by local culinary experts and the best dessert and hors d’oeuvres will receive awards. Guests will be able to vote for their favorite creation in the “People’s Choice” awards.
Supporting the 9th Annual Desserts First is an excellent investment for your charitable contributions. All funds raised from this event benefit Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, which serves over 17,000 adult and girl members in 64 counties throughout central and western Kentucky and southern Indiana.
