Family Partnership Campaign
Our Family Partnership Campaign is a way for Girl Scout families and members to invest in girls’ futures by financially supporting programs, camp improvements, financial assistance, volunteer support, and other critical services. A donation to this campaign directly impacts YOUR girl and all girls who are part of Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana.
What is the Family Partnership Campaign? The Family Partnership Campaign is a way for GSK to raise critical funds that stay within our council and support girls and Girl Scout programming. Family Partnership gifts help to support camps, leadership development opportunities, science and technology experiences—the overall Girl Scout Leadership experience. But, the Family Partnership Campaign is more than just a fundraiser. It is an opportunity for our Girl Scout family—and the family of our Girl Scouts—to say “I support Girl Scouts, I believe in what we accomplish together, and I appreciate the experiences that Girl Scouting has afforded my girl.”
What does the money donated to the Family Partnership Campaign support? All contributions go directly to support Girl Scout programs—both the traditional troop programs and our community programs. In addition, our Family Campaign funds support our volunteer trainings, development of new programs, and financial assistance for girl and adult members who could not otherwise afford Girl Scouting.
Why can’t we rely on cookie revenue to support our programs? The Girl Scout Cookie Program is a great financial literacy program that teaches girls organization, responsibility, goal-setting, money management skills, business etiquette and how to make the “ask.” Today those dollars support much of our programming, but not all. As we continue to provide outstanding leadership opportunities for girls, the Cookie Program is not able to cover all of these costs. We must engage our families and the external community to support the leadership development of our girls to help them become the leaders of tomorrow. We know that when we invest in girls, they can change the world and we are working hard to share that message.
How much should I give? Any size gift will make a difference and shows your support of the future of Girl Scouting. Just $40 covers the cost of membership for one of our Girl Scouts who receives financial assistance from our council. You will receive a Family Partnership patch when you give $25 or more!
How can I get my company involved? Some companies will match your contributions and some companies will support agencies for which you volunteers. Ask your employer and apply for the match.
How to make your Family Partnership donation:
- During the online registration/renewal process, at the payment screen, you will be asked to make a contribution to the annual Family Partnership campaign. Simply, enter in the amount you would like to contribute and continue the registration/renewal process.
