Girl Scouting 101 and Volunteering for Girl Scout Series and Events

Girl Scouting 101

Girl Scouting 101 is required of all Girl Scout volunteers. This required course replaced Volunteer Orientation and Leadership Essentials effective January 2012. This independent study course provides an interactive view of Girl Scouting and covers the Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Law and history as well as membership requirements. It illustrates ways that both girl members and adults can participate, offers volunteer support and explains program processes.

Volunteering for Girl Scout Series and Events

Volunteering for Girl Scout Series and Events is a shortened, condensed version of Girl Scouting 101. It’s suitable for volunteers who need an abbreviated introduction to Girl Scouts and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. If you’re a new series/events volunteer, this 25-minute online introduction will give you the essence of Girl Scouts’ inspiring national leadership experience—whenever it’s convenient for you.
