Camp Fees 43% Off
Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana is committed to providing high-quality, affordable outdoor programming for girls. The camp fee paid by families only covers 57% of the actual cost. Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana covers the remaining 43%. Thanks to the support of product sales, monies donated to the Family & Community Partnership campaign, Trading Post sales, and other sources of income, we are able to keep the price of camp sessions substantially lower than the actual cost.

THREE-TIER PRICING SYSEM

Overview: Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana serves a wide range of families with different financial abilities. Resident camp is such a vital part of a child’s growth and development that we truly want to make it as affordable as possible. For that reason, a voluntary three-tier pricing system is being implemented for the 2011 registration fees. This system will work on a voluntary honor system and the fee you pay for each camp session will in no way influence the experience your camper will receive.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THREE-TIER PRICING?

Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana subsidizes our summer camp fees and facility expenses year round. GSK subsidizes the summer camp fee about 43% in order to ensure that we keep our programs affordable. In addition to programming fees, we have many other expenses that help contribute to your camper’s experience. Things such as property, supplies, and professional costs increase in price each year and although these are unavoidable expenses we still want to ensure that all campers are able to afford our programming. Offering a Three-Tier Pricing system allows us to keep resident camp fees as low as possible, while still maintaining the highest program standards.  We realize that all families have different financial situations, and would like to invite those with the ability and desire to pay our higher tiered prices. Our three-tier system is COMPLETELY voluntary and strictly based on the honor system. If you are still unable to pay “Tier 1”, financial assistance is available based on financial need. Funds are limited. Please fill out the financial assistance form on page 24.

Tier  3

Tier 3 is based on the average actual cost for your campers to participate in a camp session. By paying the top tier price, you are offering additional support to help improve our resident camp programming and helping to fund our resident camp financial assistance program.

Tier  2

Tier 2 is partially subsidized (approximately 23%) by Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana. This tier is for families who cannot afford the full fee but still want to contribute a little extra support.

Tier  1

Tier 1 is based on the lowest subsidized fee. Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana has reduced the camp fee by about 43%! If you are still unable to pay tier 1, financial assistance is available.
