This course teaches the skills needed to respond to an emergency when help may be delayed. Course topics include head (brain), neck and spinal injuries, hypothermia, allergies and anaphylaxis, bone and joint injuries, wounds and wound infection, heat-related emergencies, altitude-related illnesses, burns, and more. Prerequisite: CPR/AED.
What to bring: blanket and note-taking material. Wear casual clothing appropriate for the weather as you will be working on the floor and out-of-doors.
Meals will be provided. Snacks Fri night and Sat. Breakfast, lunch, supper. Participants need to bring $20 for food to the training.
**Current CPR certification is a prerequisite.
