An annual highlight, the IU Southeast International Festival, offers attendees an opportunity to sample authentic dishes from different world regions, learn about international organizations on campus and in the surrounding community, and enjoy demonstrations of music and dance representing a range of cultures.
During the 2013 festival, guests will be served a four course sampling of international fare(including dishes like Indonesian Gado Gado, Greek Hummos, mango salad, and Pot du Crème au Chocolat) while enjoying entertainment by some of Kentuckiana’s finest international performers. This year’s entertainment will include an East Indian Carnatic soloist, a performance by a Caribbean steel drum band, and a dance troop. Guests can also visit representatives from a range of internationally-focused, local organizations.
Tickets to attend the event cost $7.00 for general admission and $5.00 for Girl Scout girl members, students and senior citizens. Proceeds go to benefit IU Southeast’s Overseas Study Scholarships. Tickets for the International Festival will be sold at the door on the day of the event. Free parking will be available.
