As girls understand the basics of braille, they will understand the challenges faced by the blind in a sighted world.  Louis Braille, blind since the age of 3, was only 12 years old when he began to work on the system of reading and writing now used worldwide by the blind.  Girls will be inspired by his amazing story and will realize that one person - one child - can change the lives of many thousands.
