Journey Camporee

Join us for a fun weekend at beautiful Camp Shantituck! Girl Scouts will work on the Journey book “It’s Your Planet...Love It!” while making new friends! Girls will team up with other girls their grade level and work towards earning the award. Depending on grade level, a Girl Scout could complete the process over the weekend! Some grade levels will need to complete the take action project at a later date, after the camporee. Upon completion of the Take Action project, the third portion of the award can be picked up at Louisville PLC. A project completion form will be provided at the camporee to the grade levels who will need to complete their project at a later date. Food and lodging will be provided; Daisy and Brownie grade level will sleep in buildings. Juniors and older Girl Scouts will sleep in platform tent units. Girl to adult ratio as outlined in Safety Activity Checkpoint (page 16) will be adhered to. Two (2) free adults per troop; these adults will help implement program during the camporee. Additional adults will pay the registration fee.  A Journey book and the award will be provided to registered Girl Scouts who attend the camporee and participate in the program. Adults will not receive a book and or award.



Note: One adult traveling with the troop must be FA/CPR certified.

No refunds for cancellations

NO TAGALONGS (siblings) will be allowed at camp, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Reservations for the event is open to all registered girls and or adults.
