Blindness 101

Join us at the Museum to explore how the American Printing House for the Blind helped change the world for people who are blind or visually impaired.  Individual sessions focus on etiquette (how to interact with a person who is blind); the various products generations of engineers and technicians have designed so that the blind have the tools they need to succeed; the amazing dogs who partner with people who are blind; fairness and social justice when dealing with accessibility for the blind; Louis Braille's raised dot code for reading and writing; and the stories of two women, Hellen Keller and Maria Theresia Von Paradis, whose impact on the education of the blind is incalculable.
