Who should attend: Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors & Juliettes of appropriate program levels.

Max number of participants: 30

Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using a GPS device. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at the location. Girl and adult participants will learn how to set up accounts on www.geocaching.com, They learn how to use a hand-held GPS, the rules of geocaching, along with things like night caches, earth caches, trackables and be able to geocaching with their troop, family and friends. In addition, we will be making something to trade in geocaches that we find on camp. Fun patch included with program.

NOTE: Dress appropriate for weather. We will be outside for part of this program. Most of the requirements for the Junior Geocacher Skill Building Award will be covered in this program.
